Reformasi Hukum journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity in the publication process. To ensure the originality of the work, all submitted manuscripts undergo thorough checks for plagiarism using Turnitin, a leading plagiarism detection tool. The goal is to guarantee that the authors' work is authentic, properly cited, and plagiarism-free.
Plagiarism is using another person's language, ideas, or other original materials without adequately acknowledging the source. This includes, but is not limited to:
Self-plagiarism is also not allowed. An author should not publish manuscripts describing the same research in multiple journals or primary publications. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals concurrently constitutes unacceptable publishing behavior.
Authors must ensure that their works are original and that proper acknowledgment is given to the work of others. If an author uses the work or words of others, they must appropriately cite or quote these sources. The authors are encouraged to use plagiarism detection software to check the similarity of their manuscript before submission. The Editorial Team also checks each manuscript using Crossref Similarity Check software. Manuscripts must meet a maximum similarity limit of 25% to proceed to the review/production process.
Policy | Description |
Acceptable Similarity Index | Reformasi Hukum Journal allows a maximum similarity index of 25% to ensure originality, as detected by Crossref Similarity Check or Turnitin. This includes both quoted material and correctly cited references. Manuscripts exceeding the 25% similarity threshold will be automatically rejected. |
Manuscript Rejection Due to Plagiarism | If a manuscript is found to have a similarity index greater than 25%, it will be rejected during the initial submission screening. The editorial team will notify the corresponding author and may provide the similarity report for transparency. |
Consequences of Plagiarism |
|
Author Responsibility | Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their submitted work. Proper citations and references must be provided for any work or ideas from other sources. Self-plagiarism, or reusing significant portions of previously published work without disclosure, is also considered unethical and subject to the same consequences. |
Appeals Authors | Who believe their work has been unfairly rejected due to plagiarism concerns can appeal to the editorial team. The editorial team will re-examine the similarity report and any other relevant material before making a final decision. |
This policy is designed to maintain the integrity of the academic publishing process and ensure that all work published in Reformasi Hukum Journal is original, properly attributed, and adheres to the highest standards of academic honesty. Authors must always be transparent in their use of sources and must cite previous works that have influenced their research.
By adhering to these guidelines, we uphold the ethical standards of scholarly publishing and promote genuine, credible knowledge exchange.
